The Disconnect Switch Type MSDA was developed to operate in overhead distribution systems rated at 15, 27 and 38kV grounded systems, with currents up to 630A.
They are used in most cases for the interruption and maintenance of distribution networks and service lines. Due to their construction, they are capable of withstanding short-circuit conditions.
Supplied with or without mounting support, suitable for single crossarms.
The insulator and support used are identical to those of a Fuse Cutout. The blades are manufactured from high-conductivity electrolytic copper, and their construction ensures mechanical resistance under short-circuit operating currents. The contacts are self-cleaning, high-pressure type, with stainless steel springs and safety locking devices.
The terminals are made of electrolytic copper with a tin surface treatment by electroplating, with NEMA drilling pattern or suitable for wedge-type connectors.
They feature an eye and hook for manual operation using a hot stick or for use with a load-break tool (loadbuster).
The MSDA type disconnector has a single insulator, making it lighter than the conventional design that uses two insulators.
Designed in accordance with ABNT / ANSI / IEC standards.
